Nominations sought for expanded Jane Pratt Education Award

Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains is seeking contacts at high schools in Clarke, Fauquier, and Rappahannock counties. We plan to expand the Jane Pratt Blue Ridge Mountains Education Award for a worthy high school senior into one of these counties in 2016; details on the award and requirements are attached.

We have previously given awards in Loudoun County, VA and Jefferson County, WV and are very excited about the award and associated $1000 scholarship. Our protocol is to work with a science teacher/guidance counselors in the selected school to identify the best candidate for consideration. So we are not looking for individual student nominations, but rather teacher/guidance counselor contacts that we can have an introduction to and work through to facilitate the process.
