Seven Bends Primavera Conservation Party Was Primo!

Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains participated in the Primavera Conservation Party sponsored by Seven Bends Nursery near Berryville on Saturday April 18. It was a wonderful family-friendly event featuring 15 organizations and agencies, giving attendees the opportunity to explore ways to get involved in conservation within their communities. Highlights included a farm tour, scavenger hunt, free native tree saplings, a plant giveaway, and a Q&A session with Dr. Iara Lacher.

Friends had information about the intense development pressures in the Blue Ridge mountains and how people can make their voices heard urging county governments to adopt protections for the mountains.
This was the second annual Primavera Conservation Party hosted by Seven Bends Nursery. Friends is looking forward to joining everyone again next year.
