2025 Annual Celebration

Join Friends of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the only nonprofit organization focused exclusively on the Blue Ridge Mountains in Northern Virginia and Jefferson County W.Va., for our popular Annual Celebration Wednesday, October 15, from 6–9pm. The event will be held at Good Spirit Farm & Winery, with catering provided by Savoir Fare Catering.
You’ll enjoy live music by Keith Dill and Sam Hall, award winning musicians with deep roots in bluegrass, old-time, country, Irish, jazz, and alternative rock. They blend tradition with innovation across genres. Together, they bring a dynamic and distinctive voice to every inspired performance.
Our featured speaker will be Mills Kelly, historian, podcaster, photographer, and author of “Virginia’s Lost Appalachian Trail” and the forthcoming “A Hiker’s History of the Appalachian Trail.” Mills will share hikers’ stories from his book: What did those hikers eat? What kind of gear did they carry? Why did they go hiking in the first place? What was their relationship to the natural world they found along the trail? What was it like to hike as a woman, as a person of color, as someone with a disability? And how did all those things change over the 100 years of the trail’s history?
Plus! Announcement of the annual Friend of the Mountain award, delicious wines, sumptuous food by Savoir Fare Catering, time to catch up with old friends and meet new ones. Get your tickets using the form below.
