BERRYVILLE — Seventeen local and regional organizations have joined forces to fight an upscale hotel complex proposed for 147 acres just within the Clarke, Loudoun and Fauquier county boundaries.

A company that operates four boutique hotels in the Adirondack and Catskill ranges in New York plans to expand south to the Blue Ridge with a fifth location on Paris Mountain, making Fauquier leaders nervous about their view.
